First of all, Happy Independence day Philippines!
Went to Ortigas with Ivy today for a job interview. We know it’s a holiday but since our schedule is today we still went to the company’s office considering the company is a BPO and should be operating 24/7 and when we got there the guy who entertained us said that they don’t have work because it’s a holiday (woot). We’re gonna be re-scheduled next week he said - hopefully. So obviously, our trip going down to Manila is a failure, lmao. It’s not so bad after all, we went to Shangri-La mall and I finally got myself a copy of Bob Ong’s new book “Kapitan Sino”. I’m so happy to have his latest book since he’s my favorite local author. Speaking of Shangri-La, I think it’s the most boring mall ever! All you can see are shops for “classy” people and coffee bars all over the place. Or maybe because I don’t have class in me that’s why I’m not feeling Shangri-La?
We walked for a bit to see more of Shangri-La but we got hungry so we went to the food court. There’s only few stalls to choose from and we fail to find Shakey’s (as per Ivy’s request) so we ended up eating at Wendy’s which is also another FAIL! The cheeseburger I ordered is so lame that I almost want to go to McDonald’s and order a cheeseburger there. The bun is sooo dry and I didn’t even felt the presence of the cheese in my mouth. The crew didn’t even gave me a ketchup. Ivy ordered Caesar’s salad and told me it’s far from what she saw in the picture, lol. After we ate we just decided to go home.
Some pictures of my new book and an extra picture of Ivy’s greeeeeen salad, lol:
